About the Logo
The logo consists of two main elements: the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and a hand holding a symbol of community development, with people symbolizing unity and collaboration.
The SDGs are represented by a circular shape in the background, divided into multiple sections or slices, each representing a specific goal. The circular shape symbolizes the interconnectedness of the goals and the global nature of sustainable development. The SDGs are a set of 17 goals established by the United Nations to address various social, economic, and environmental challenges facing the world. These goals include eradicating poverty, ensuring quality education, promoting gender equality, combating climate change, and fostering sustainable cities, among others.
At the forefront of the logo, there is a hand reaching out, holding a symbol of community development. The hand represents human agency and action, emphasizing the importance of individuals and communities in driving positive change. It signifies empowerment, cooperation, and solidarity. The symbol of community development is the house, tree, which denotes progress and improvement within a community. It symbolizes the efforts and initiatives taken at the grassroots level to achieve sustainable development.
Inside the hand are smaller figures representing people. These figures symbolize the diverse communities and individuals coming together to contribute towards the achievement of the SDGs. They represent unity, inclusivity, and collective efforts towards a common vision. The presence of these figures highlights the collaborative nature of sustainable development, emphasizing that the goals can only be accomplished through joint action and participation from all sectors of society.
